Remembering the theme for the year ‘I Will Arise’, January edition gives a clear explanation as to what is required to arise in 2016.

‘In order to step, a conscious action needs to take place with movement from body, mind and soul. Individuals must be willing to cross over, go beyond boundaries (lines, protocols) to get to the desired destination (results)’.

Bearing this in mind, the month of May opens her door (which leads to grace & mercy) to bring to remembrance that there are always going to be obstructions standing in the way of Arising.

However, courage should be taken because Christ has won the victory.

Scriptural reading 1 John 4:18-19 identifies the major cause or reasons for obstruction, (fear) likewise the solution to the problem (Love).

Fear is identified as the major cause of obstruction to Arising. It can be External or Internal fear which leads to delay in taking the required step to moving forward.

Fear is known to have a ‘root’ (e.g. childhood trauma, spiritual attack, illness, etc.) and individuals are required to find out / identify their roots in relation to what is obstructing their movement and deal with it in the name of Jesus Christ using our February Edition which talks about ‘Prayer’ – Brethren Pray for Us to assist in dealing with obstructions to Arising.

In order to effectively deal with obstruction to Arising, the scripture gives a clear solution stating “Perfect Love casteth out fear….” Who is perfect? No one except our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. Him alone is able to remove the ‘Roots’ of obstruction – fear – on our way to Arising in 2016.

A word of admonition is given ‘He that feareth is not made perfect in love’.

On this note, key pointers to encourage us to overcome obstruction is identified:

  • Believe what Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and life, Is there anything too difficult for me?”
  • Stop talking about the obstruction, instead
  • Trust in the Lord with all your heart and mind, and lean not on your own understanding regarding solution to removing the obstruction
  • Look at the obstruction from a spiritual angle and
  • Use the Word of God to overcome it

While carrying out the above pointers, remember to keep the PRAISE continually in your heart & mouth as it releases peace unto you and sees you through the journey.

Remember the story of Job, God authorised one of the greatest obstructions ever recorded to an individual (And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job …Job 2)

Through all the obstructions given to Job, he NEVER cursed God as he realises that ‘in all situation man find himself, praise should be given to God for him alone is able to deliver’.

Conclusion

1 John 4:19 states ‘We love him, because he first loved us’. This verse is extremely crucial in relation to ‘removing obstruction to arising’ as it highlights the significance of Love. It explains that our Love for Christ is the contributing factor that propels him to keep delivering us from every obstruction even though He (Christ) already shows us the greatest Love ever delivered to mankind – Death & Resurrection leading to Salvation.

Let it be known that through Love and obstruction – ‘Fear’ be overcome and we must strive to continually exhibit sincere Love.

Obstructions can only be for a season (just passing through) when ‘We love Christ’.

Declaration

‘No matter how great or small the obstruction is, my focus will be on the Lord for I know surely he will deliver me out of them all’.

Shalom.
